Divisions & Teams Overview

Welcome to the LLA Divisions & Teams section. Select your age group below to find detailed information about your division, including schedules, equipment requirements, and more.


U7 (Mini-Tyke)

Age Group: Players aged 5-6

Season Structure:

  • Practices: Twice a week
  • Games: In-house games during practice times
  • Season Duration: March to June

Equipment Required:

  • Helmet with face cage
  • Mouthguard
  • Shoulder pads
  • Elbow pads
  • Gloves
  • Athletic supporter
  • Stick

Additional Information:

The U7 division focuses on introducing young players to the basics of lacrosse in a fun and supportive environment. Emphasis is placed on skill development and teamwork.


U9 (Tyke)

Age Group: Players aged 7-8

Season Structure:

  • Practices: Twice a week
  • Games: Once a week, with occasional travel within Southern Alberta
  • Season Duration: March to June

The U9 division builds upon foundational skills, introducing more structured gameplay and basic strategies.


U11 (Novice)

Age Group: Players aged 9-10

Season Structure:

  • Practices: Twice a week
  • Games: Once or twice a week, with travel within Southern Alberta
  • Season Duration: March to June, with potential for playoffs

At the U11 level, players experience more competitive play, with an emphasis on teamwork and advanced skill development.


U13 (Peewee)

Age Group: Players aged 11-12

Season Structure:

  • Practices: Twice a week
  • Games: Twice a week, with travel within Southern Alberta
  • Season Duration: March to June, with playoffs and potential for Provincial Championships

U15 (Bantam)

Age Group: Players aged 13-14

U17 (Midget)
