LLA - Sean Gurney Scholarship

The Lethbridge Lacrosse Association - Sean Gurney Scholarship was established in memory of Sean Gurney, a dedicated LLA volunteer who passed away in 2011. Sean was a man who did not do things half-heartedly, and this was apparent in his dedication and commitment to coaching lacrosse despite never having played the game himself. Sean took great joy in watching his son play and was always active in both the organization of practices and demonstration of skills. Sean will be remembered for his dedication to his family and his willingness to step up when he was needed.

The objective of the scholarship is to recognize a Lethbridge Lacrosse Association player who has completed high school and contributed to the Lethbridge Lacrosse Association and his/her community through volunteerism; assisting the individual in the pursuit of his/her post-secondary studies. The value of the scholarship is $1,000.00. Completed applications can be emailed to president@lethbridgelacrosse.com or can be mailed to:
